I've arrived.

I arrived in Rwanda on Wednesday morning 26 hours late via a night at Heathrow, another night in Nairobi and a flight via Burundi. I arrived exhausted and in the same clothes I left Sheffield on Monday in. Amazingly all my luggage arrived. I have spent the week getting used to no running water, only having electricity in the evenings and overnight, using an outside ‘longdrop’ toilet, sleeping under a mosquito net, being called Bzungu, not understanding a word of Kinyarwanda and the beautiful view of lake Muhazi. On Saturday there was a storm I’ve never seen it rain so hard so suddenly and it has rained all day today so there is orange mud everywhere. I have met some of the children at the rehab centre and am looking forward to working with them.
