My career break has started, I have been on my training course for 2 weeks, have had 2 weeks at home with my parents and now my bags are packed and I'm ready to go (I think). There are 2 sleeps until I board my first of 2 flights which will take me to Rwanda to begin my adventure.
It will be strange going from a place where we had snow on the ground this week to a place where water is in short supply as they have not had the rain they would expect for this time of year. I'm sure there will be many other contrasts which will strike me when I arrive and throughout my time away.
All I have left to do now is enjoy the weekend with my family and look forward to the adventures and challenges which my time in Rwanda will bring.
